Doing Business with the Forest Preserve District

While Forest Preserve District of DuPage County employees perform most of the maintenance and operation of District land and facilities, the District may employ contractors for large construction or restoration projects.

The Forest Preserve District purchases required goods and services in conformance with Illinois state law, the DuPage County Purchasing Ordinance, related resolutions of the Board of Commissioners and administrative policies. The District makes requirements for purchases under $20,000 in accordance with established procedures for small-dollar purchases and informal quotations. For purchases over $20,000, it advertises formal bid announcements in local newspapers and may also list them in the Current Bid and Proposal Announcements section below.

When a supplier is aware of a solicitation, it should contact the office listed on the announcement to request a bid document. The Forest Preserve District Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

Current Bid and Proposal Announcements

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is currently seeking bids and proposals on the following projects.

Oak Meadows Golf Preserve Clubhouse Architectural Services

Statements of Qualifications will be received at the main office of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County until 9 a.m. on August 10, 2016 for architectural services for a new clubhouse at Oak Meadows Golf Preserve in Addison, Illinois. Main components of the work will include the development of three alternative floor plans that will accommodate a kitchen, bar/snack bar, meeting room/banquet room, business office and patio. The possibility of integrating the pro shop into the clubhouse should be evaluated, as well as the preliminary design of the necessary utilities to serve the building. The building should be sited to maximize views in accordance with the Oak Meadows Golf Preserve master plan while also promoting operational efficiencies (customer flow bag drop, cart staging area, practice areas, etc.). A minimum of two perspective renderings for each alternative shall be included. This information developed will be used to determine the feasibility and support for the construction of the new clubhouse.

The District will select a consultant in accordance with the Illinois Local Government Professional Services Selection Act (50 ILCS 510).

The proposed clubhouse site will be made available for viewing on a non-mandatory basis on July 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at 900 N. Wood Dale Road, Addison, IL 60101.
