These new, eco-friendly ladies' socks were designed exclusively for the Forest Preserve District and feature native DuPage County wildflowers. They're made from a 75 percent soy material, which means they're cream colored and (if we may say so ourselves) extremely soft!

Tribute Benches

The benches that line the trails and dot the wide-open spaces of the county's forest preserves encourage visitors to relax and reflect on the surrounding scenic landscapes. The District strives to find ideal locations for tribute benches, places that satisfy the wishes of the donor and the needs of forest preserve visitors. Each includes a nameplate and mailed notification to the honoree or honoree's family.  Tribute Bench2
Existing Bench $1,000
 A nameplate on an existing bench can be a personalized way to mark a favorite place.
Log Bench $1,500
 Handcrafted by Forest Preserve District staff from fallen timbers, this bench can be a fitting addtion to a rustic trail.
Recycled-Plastic Bench with concrete pad $2,500
 This durable, ecologically friendly bench can provide a comfortable rest stop for scores of daily visitors. 

Tribute Native Trees

Over 70 species of native trees grow within DuPage County's forest preserves. These trees provide visual beauty, offer habitat for wildlife and improve the quality of the air. They can also serve as living legacies.

Green Fund $500
 Individuals can support the Forest Preserve District's mission of conservation by making a donation to fund plantings and enhanced landscaping throughout the District.  Each donation includes an engraved leaf on a recognition board in the lobby of District headquarters in Wheaton and mailed notification to the honoree or honoree's family.

Marker for Existing Tree $1,500
 Donors may also choose to work with the District to identify existing trees for tributes.  With this option, a marker is placed near the tree, and the Forest Preserve district notifies the honoree or honoree's family.
Marker with New Tree Planting $2,500
 A 2.5- 3.5-inch-diameter tree will be planted in the spring or fall in a location mutually agreed upon by the donor and the District. The District will also place a marker near the tree and notify the honoree or the honoree's family.
