In its urban setting, Fullerton Park Preserve plays a valuable role in flood control and storm-water retention. But its benefits don’t stop there. The preserve is also home to prairies, scattered reforested areas, and vast wetlands that provide a habitat for rare wildlife and plant species.

Recreation

Model Helicopter Field

Model helicopters can be flown in the helicopter area west of Grace Street. Fliers can park in the asphalt parking lot off Grace Street. A District permit is required to fly model helicopters, and can be obtained at District headquarters. Picnic tables are located near the field.
