Natural Resource Management Volunteers
Each year, hundreds of dedicated DuPage County citizens volunteer to restore prairies, wetlands and woodlands by collecting and planting seeds, cutting brush, and removing invasive, weedy vegetation. Under the direction of District ecologists, volunteer stewards and co-stewards assume responsibility for specific natural areas. Volunteers also conduct a variety of plant and animal surveys.
