Discover DuPage Forest Preserves in 2012
Discover new outdoor activities, plan to attend your favorite events and learn about nature with publications from the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County.
Make some space on your fridge for a one-page 2012 planner featuring dates and descriptions for always-popular events such as the “Just for Kids Fishing Derby” and “Halloween Night Walks.”
Learn about DuPage County’s forest preserves through The Conservationist, the District’s award-winning publication that reaches over 35,000 mailboxes each quarter. Each 24-page magazine features a calendar of dozens of events as well as stories on natural and cultural histories, natural-areas management, native plant and animal communities, and environmental education. All stories are written in-house by District staff and highlighted with seasonal photographs.
Electronic versions of The Conservationist and the 2012 event planner are available for free download from the District’s website on The Conservationist page. Print subscriptions to The Conservationist are free to DuPage County residents; out-of-county subscriptions cost $5 per year.
