Ben Fuller House at Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve

In 2015, the State of Illinois suspended their portion of the funding for the project. As a result, the District's Board of Commissioners suspended plans to prepare the Ben Fuller House for public use until future funds become available to complete the work.

Over the past several years, the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, the village of Winfield, and Winfield Riverwalk Committee have been working cooperatively on the development of a segment of the West Branch Regional Trail that will connect residents to Winfield Mounds Forest Preserve, West DuPage Woods Forest Preserve, Wynwood Park, Lions Park, Oakwood Park, downtown Winfield, the Winfield Metra Station, Winfield Riverwalk and Central DuPage Hospital.
