Tree Frog

Did you know?

Tree frogs have sticky cups at the end of their toes that allow them to climb things that go straight up and down like trees and even windows!

Young frogs are called tadpoles or polliwogs. They live in the water and have a tail but no legs. They breathe through gills, like fish do. As tadpoles turn into frogs, they develop legs and lose their tails. They also develop lungs in place of their gills and their mouth gets much bigger. But that's not all... their diet changes, too. Tadpoles eat mostly vegetation, while adult frogs eat insects and other animals.

Tiger Salamander

Tiger salamanders are black with yellowish spots all over their head, body and tail. They grow to be up to 13 inches long. Tiger salamanders live underground mt of the year, but when it's time to breed, they look for still water where no fish live to lay their eggs.
