MAPLE MEADOWS GOLF CLUB NAMED A “BEST BUY”

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is pleased to announce that it’s Maple Meadows Golf Club in Wood Dale is featured as a “best buy” in the August issue of Golf Chicago! magazine. 
As part of an ongoing feature in the publication, testers try out some of “Illinois’ finest daily-fee tracks in search of great golf at a fair price.” Their comments praised Maple Meadows’ variety of play, the condition of the course and the accommodating staff. 
“The Maple Meadows staff is dedicated to providing quality golf at competitive prices, and the ‘Best Buy’ designation is a reflection of that,” said Dean Westrom, the District’s director of the Office of Golf Operations. “We’re constantly striving to improve the golfer’s experience, including recently rerouting the course and adding new tees.” 
A former country club purchased in 1990 not only for flood control and open space but also for recreational opportunities, Maple Meadows offers 27 challenging holes: the “West 18” with a modern combination of links and prairie design and a traditional “East 9.” It features a pro shop and a clubhouse, where the Maple Meadows Grill offers a comfortable atmosphere, a scenic patio, daily specials and a full-service bar.

The District also operates public golf courses in Addison and Westmont; all three are open through late November. 
Oak Meadows Golf Club in Addison features an 18-hole course, a pro shop and a driving range. Clubhouse and banquet facilities are available for golf outings, business meetings, weddings, showers and other functions.
