One Mission: Conservation, Education & Recreation

Since 1915, the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County has served the people of DuPage County through its mission to acquire and hold lands for the purpose of preserving the flora, fauna and scenic beauty for the education, pleasure and recreation of its citizens.

Today the Forest Preserve District owns or manages over 25,000 acres of land, including 60 forest preserves and one state park.
