Nature Workday Schedules: July-Sep 2008
A world of opportunity awaits you at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, and we invite you to become a member of our top-notch volunteer crew. Whether you choose to help at one of our educational facilities or with our Natural Resource Management program or Law Enforcement department, your knowledge and enthusiasm will make visiting DuPage County forest preserves an enlightening and rewarding experience.
All volunteer positions with the District involve a specified commitment of time. Please consult the position descriptions under the category you are interested in below for the specific time commitment involved.

Education Centers
- Danada Equestrian Center – help staff with the daily horse care and stable chores at a Kentucky-style barn in Wheaton
- Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center – bring the environment to life and mesmerize youngsters with nature's wonders
- Kline Creek Farm – play a key role in engaging visitors in the activities of this working homestead at the District's 1890's living-history farm in Winfield
- Mayslake Peabody Estate – keep the legend and grandeur of Mayslake Hall in Oak Brook alive as docents, gardners and researchers
- Willowbrook Wildlife Center – share information with visitors and school groups and assist staff with the rehabilitation of injured wildlife at the District's wildlife education and rehabilitation center in Glen Ellyn

- Trail Patrol – provide information and assistance to trail users at some of the District's most popular preserves
The volunteer programs offered at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County are designed to complement the District's goals of conservation, education and recreation. Volunteers should augment existing facility and preserve programs through the exchange of talent and knowledge with District staff. Needs of volunteers and staff are met when individuals work together to reach common goals. Volunteers are respected by staff and recognized on a continuous basis.
